Summer Fun is Not Just For Kids!

As the Summer is drawing to a close again for 2019 we can take a look back at what a great one it has been. Of course Summer is always a busy time for us with our school aged students who take part in our English courses. However, this summer we were also delighted to welcome a number of Adult students to Dungarvan. We welcomed an array of students from university students to Parents visiting while their child attended a different course to adults wishing to improve their English for both work and leisure.

Since the beginning of the Summer we have had regular arrivals and sadly then the goodbyes at the end of their stay.

Our groups attended classes in our new Premises at 1 Shandon Street, Dungarvan.
Whether our Adult students selected to attend 1-1 courses or small group courses they had the opportunity to enjoy the busy and buzzing atmosphere here at the Language People.
Fully immersed in the English language by meeting everyone for Coffee and Lunch each day was one of the reasons each student seemed to thoroughly enjoy their experience here.

Of course it wasn’t all hard work and learning as we enjoyed a number of activities during the day such as the Lismore Castle Gardens, Ardmore Cliff walk and Round Tower, and Boat-Trip down the Blackwater River. We also enjoyed a night of live music in the Local bar giving our international students a taste of Irish music culture.

An evening that seemed to be the highlight for most of the groups would have been an evening spent together at The Language People’s owners home, Maud. As we all prepared and then enjoyed a Spanish Paella under the instructions of one of our Spanish Students Alberto.

Bringing together people of different nationalities and appreciating different cultures is an essential part of who we are and how our courses are a great success. Our Students use English outside of the classroom, not because they have to but because they wanted to.
